Starting with the Whole Family...
The whole family:
I believe the birth process is best experienced when everyone involved with the family is able to contribute and feel a part of the entire event, as much as is possible. Many hands make light work, and by sharing the stress, we can make a life changing milestone a smooth transition into the future.
“It takes a village” is a saying I believe in. Be that having family and friends around to support you, or utilizing support groups, and facebook pages to let you know that you are not alone. Simply knowing what is out there to help your family. I want you to know that you will be supported throughout your child’s entry into the world.
I aim to provide you with any information, knowledge and options that you wish to know about. I want to act as a resource and rolodex to help you make an informed decision about how you want your pregnancy and birth to go.
As a doula it is my job to provide any and all information that you request. My personal opinions should not be a factor to color your choices. In the heat of the moment, I will remind you of opinions that you have shown towards treatment options, and assist you in creating the birth that you desire.
My Primary goal is to never leave a client without assistance. I will give your partner the comfort in taking a break to use the restroom, or eat food, because they know I will be there. While nurses and doctors must tend to multiple patients through the course of your hospital stay, I am there for only you.
